WOW, what a GMAC Bowl! I hope you took our advice and watched that game as it was one of the better games of the Bowl Season. Also, you can understand why we hemmed and hawed over the Side. Actually, if CMU doesn't make the 2-pt conversion, there would be a huge difference in who got paid in the game and who didn't! We decided to play a Side in tonight's game as well.
Texas vs. Alabama in Pasadena
This should be a great game, especially if you like defense. We all know about 'Bama's defense but the Longhorn's D gets overlooked in the wake of their high-flying offense. One thing to note about Texas is that they struggle against good defenses. Nebraska and Oklahoma stifled Texas this year and the Tide's D falls between the two, talent-wise. Texas is just too one-dimensional. They need to be able to run the ball to be effective. 'Bama can run the ball, but their success will come between the 20s and keep this game close and low-scoring. Texas has a solid run defense, but it has not been tested like it will tonight. We are playing the U46 in the game for 6 units. Since we see this game as almost a toss up, you have to take the 'Horns. We would not be shocked at a SU Texas win, but really like the 4 points. We are playing Texas +4 in the game for 10 units and will do a 2-unit parlay on Texas and the Under.
